Bid to Win a Maidaid Elite Warewasher and Support a Cause That Really Matters

At Maidaid, we believe the best businesses in our industry don’t just supply great equipment, they show up for the people who keep hospitality running. That’s why we’re proud to announce that we will be donating a brand-new Maidaid Elite undercounter warewasher (worth over £7,000) to the CEDA charity auction, with all proceeds going directly to The Burnt Chef Project.

About The Burnt Chef Project

The hospitality industry is one of the most rewarding and one of the most demanding in the world. Long hours, intense pressure, antisocial shifts, and a culture that has historically treated stress as simply part of the job have taken a serious toll on the people working within it. Research by The Burnt Chef Project found that eight out of ten hospitality professionals have experienced a mental health challenge during their career, and nearly half would not feel comfortable raising those concerns with a colleague.

Founded in 2019 by Kris Hall, The Burnt Chef Project is a non-profit social enterprise with a clear and vital mission: to eradicate mental health stigma within hospitality, and to ensure that every professional in the industry knows that it’s OK not to be OK. Through free training and education, 24/7 support services, mental health awareness programmes, and a global ambassador network, the Project is making a measurable difference. In 2025 alone, more than 21,000 online learning modules were completed, over 1,200 hospitality professionals attended wellbeing workshops, and nearly 3,700 individuals accessed free mental health support including therapy and life coaching.

Their work reaches hospitality workers in over 122 countries. It is funded by donations, merchandise sales, and the generosity of businesses across our industry who recognise that a sustainable hospitality sector must put people first.

It is a cause Maidaid is immensely proud to support.

The Prize: Maidaid Elite Undercounter Warewasher

The lucky winner of this auction will receive a Maidaid Elite undercounter warewasher (worth over £7,000), one of the most advanced machines in our portfolio and part of our highly anticipated new Elite range, launching in June 2026.

Designed with the demands of professional kitchens firmly in mind, the Elite is built to handle even the most demanding service periods in the busiest of venues. It combines industry-leading energy and water efficiency with robust engineering and intelligent wash technology, delivering exceptional hygiene performance cycle after cycle.

Key features of the Elite range include:

  • Ultra-low water consumption as little as 1.4 litres per cycle, among the lowest in its class
  • Energy efficiency from just 0.2 kWh per cycle, reducing running costs significantly over the life of the machine
  • Maidaid’s patented heat recovery system, capturing residual heat to reduce heat-up times and energy demand
  • Double-skinned construction to minimise heat loss and improve thermal efficiency
  • Intelligent wash programming that optimises water, energy and chemical usage for each cycle
  • IoT connectivity on selected models, enabling real-time reporting on energy and water usage, cleaning performance, and chemical levels
  • Triple filtration and quick-release wash arms for straightforward day-to-day maintenance
  • EN 17735 hygiene certification: the benchmark for commercial warewashing excellence

Whether you’re running a restaurant, a hotel, a pub or a café, the Maidaid Elite delivers the reliability and performance that professional kitchens depend on and the efficiency that today’s operators demand.
